I was a under the care of Professor Gatrad for several years and found him to be a fantastic doctor. He was supportive towards both myself and my family. His friendly approach constantly put me at ease. He is by far the best doctor i have ever been under the care of and wish i could have stayed as one of his patients.

We first saw Prof Gatrad at his private clinic in Birmingham with our 18 month old daughter Lily. She has developmental delays with walking and talking and we decided to get a second opinnion. From the beginning we were made to feel welcome and most importantly we were listened to. After a full and thorough examination Prof Gatrad took Lily on as an NHS patient at Walsall Manor Hospital, dispite us living out of the area and Lily currently having community care in Stafford. We have since had two appointents with him at Walsall and we are now in the process of arranging an MRI, EEG and blood tests. Something that was never offered to us in Stafford. Most importantly Prof Gatrad listened to our concerns and acted on them. We always leave his appointments feeling very postive and satisfied, knowing that Lily is in his care, the best care! Prof Gatrad is a truely wonderful doctor who genuinley cares for children. We feel very lucky and priviliged to have him as Lily's doctor.

Dr Gatrad has helped me immensely over the past 3 years that I have been a patient of his. he listens to what you have to say and gives amazing advice based on his observations and experience from patients that he has seen similar to me. As well as being professional, he is personal and treats every patient in the same way. He is amazing!

Several years ago my son Sam was diagnosed by Prof Gatrad with a very rare medical condition, this was the beginning of a very long and distressing time for Sam and all the family, but Sam could not have been in safer hands, Prof Gatrad has not only been Sam's doctor, but a very caring person who took the time to know Sam not only as a patient but a friend on Sam's level as a child, and all his interests. There has always been a welcome one to one kindness at every appointment. Sam is now an adult and does not see Prof Gatrad. Sam's last appointment with Prof Gatrad was quite emotional, Sam will always remember him. (Sincerely Annette - Sam's mom)

We first took our son to see Professor Gatrad a little over a year ago now and he was fantastic. He answered all my questions that I had for him and put my mind at ease. He had a couple of students with him and he asked me if I would mind if they too could examine my son, I said yes and they too were very good. We went back only a few days ago for a review on my son and I must admit as a parent it's a hard to stop thinking the worst, I remembered Professor Gatrad from our first consultation, he again answered all my questions and yet again put mind at ease. I asked how his students are doing and they passed with distinction. To me that says it all.
